Leadership

It is required for the people handling a specific Team (group of Owners). They are termed as ‘Leaders’.
Leader’s focus should be more on aligning team member’s goals towards a predefined team goal. Major responsibilities of Team Leaders working for Excellent Organizations are to Protect, Motivate, Align & Develop (‘PMAD’) their team members.

This quality is expected in the people with high knowledge level which comes by rich experience gained by working in the organization.

Sense of Ownership

Building the sense of ownership is the utmost important task for any individual, whether he's running a business or working in an organization.

Simply working on the routine tasks as ordered by seniors makes the individual more like a robot. If the person has to become excellent, he has to consider the task / job as his own and act upon his instincts instead of mere following orders. 

Taking ownership for the activities leads to more effective and faster results.

It's the duty of the leaders to make their team members take ownership for activities. They should motivate the team members to take risks and initiate actions and even if things don't go as planned, stand behind their backs for support. These gestures help in creating the sense of ownership in the individual and this leads to effective performance.

It is very important for every individual to understand the fact that they are the CEO of the desk / job assigned and should work accordingly. The moment they take this ownership of the task and activities they all will become Effective, Innovative and Excellent.
